RPS’s CO2 emissions have decreased by 13 per cent since implementing e-Driver. More importantly, road users who have received e-Driver training are less likely to be involved in traffic accidents. The number of damage claims (categories 1-3 inclusive) has fallen by more than 40 per cent.

On 31 August 2018, former National Traffic Officer Koos Spee presented Maarten Wijnhoven, RPS director of operations, with the Driving Safely and Sustainably quality mark. The company acquired this accreditation due to positive results achieved following the implementation of the e-Driver programme.

‘We are already benefiting hugely from this investment. RPS’s CO2 emissions are down by 13 per cent thanks to e-Driver’, explains Wijnhoven. The company’s average fuel consumption is 25 per cent lower than the benchmark. More importantly, road users who have received e-Driver training are less likely to be involved in traffic accidents. The number of damage claims (categories 1-3 inclusive) has fallen by more than 40 per cent.

Why did RPS choose e-Driver?
RPS wanted to monitor its “climate-friendly performance” using the CO2 Performance Ladder, a system managed by The Foundation for Climate Friendly Procurement and Business (Stichting Klimaatvriendelijk Aanbesteden & Ondernemen, SKAO).
